FAMILY: Launching 3 young adults into the world of work and college feels like a double loop roller coaster ride (yucky!). Returning to Africa on Sept. 30 without them was perhaps the hardest thing we’ve ever done. Yet, they’ve all landed in Wisconsin, venturing out into their chosen paths. We are grateful for God’s peace that guards our hearts during this time of transition. Andrew (21) is exploring career possibilities while working, Benji (20 this month) is continuing at Concordia University, and Michael (18) is establishing himself at Northcentral Technical College. Pray for us in these changes of family dynamics and distance.
Fortunately, 12 year old Matthew has a few years to keep us company. In our 17th year of homeschooling, this is the first year EJ has only one student. Ministry continues with homeschool co-op leadership, church small group, housing committee, and mentoring. Pray for us in these “same but different” activities.

AIM AIR: We’ve said hello to four new missionary families (all with young children) who recently arrived to begin work with AIM AIR! Three of them are housed in our neighborhood. We’ve been paired up with one young couple to be their “mentor” missionaries as they navigate their first year. Pray for us in these changes of new relationships.

Meanwhile, Phil is back in the thick of things at the hangar, catching up on projects and the goings on. He’s also back to studying for another round of Kenyan Aviation Mechanic tests. He’ll take one about Piston Engines on Nov. 1 and one on Turbine Engines on Nov. 29. He’ll be assisting our new guys with maintenance orientation for the next few months, as well as keeping up with airplane inspections, work orders, and other projects. Pray for Phil in changes with personnel and responsibilities.
